During the late beginning of WW2, 16 year old German country girl, Elizabeth, is living free in life. The Nazis have started taking Jews into concentration camps and this unsettles everyone. One day Elizabeth comes home from school and is greeted by some escaping Jews hidden in her house. Her parents say they are helping for a friend after she freaks out about the consequences they could face, if caught. In this book it shows how hard it was to hide during these times. A bond forms between Elizabeth and one of the Jews in hiding, 18 year old Matthew. She spends most of her time with him and the others as they struggle to keep them hidden. Constant house searches and suspicion build stress between everyone. Will they make it through the hiding? Or will their secret be discovered?(F.Y.I I am not  offending anyone in this and don't want to. If you don't want to read this, then don't. I am not trying to support anything or cause trouble.
