all that I knew was that I was free. Free from the radiance and free from my chains but not from something else. even though I'm done with being a vessel I am now part of a empty kingdom. And something haunts it now something big.

PSA: if you haven't played hollow knight or understand the lore then play it, it's fun and there might be something I miss that would make it confusing to read

This is a hollow knight self insert. I'm doing my best to make it as accurate as possible, and there are MAJOR spoilers. Last words of Monomon, the teacher, to the White King before falling into her deep sleep. The Hollow Knight has been replaced. The Radiance that swept through the channels of so much of the kingdom, now it's just a nightmare of days of the past. The knight, after his long journey, took his place as the new Hollow Knight, and now he rests in his eternal litigation to contain the rot that lives in his inside. Along. Inside the Temple of the Black Egg. An eternal condemnation from which he could never escape. But if one thing is certain, it is that, unlike meat, light can never be devoured. Now. For those of you who have already finished the game and were drawn by the poetic introduction, there are a few things I want to clarify so that you can understand this story. 1 - This story takes place between the events of the original game and the Hornet prequel. 2 - This story was made before the release of the prequel, so I apologize in advance if something doesn't match the lore in the future. 3 - The ending chosen was in which the knight is sealed with the Radiance inside the temple of the Black Egg and Hornet survives. What the fans call ending #1. 4 - The events of the Soul of Steel mode do not apply 5 - The seeker of gods was never found 6 - Zote was not rescued and died at the start of the game. (I know this seems silly, but believe me when I say that this will be the first link in the butterfly effect that will develop this entire plot) With everything clarified given the large number of possible endings, we begin with the story.

With the escape of every single vessel in the battle of the abyss, the Pale King had developed a plan to eliminate the survivors. He created dozens of "hunters" meant only to track down and kill their fellow vessels. Twelve was one of them. A few years after Hallownest fell to the infection, Twelve was able to break free of the white palace. In a world they were never intended to see, they must find their way, and learn how to survive all over again. As if it weren't enough, most vessels were never truly hollow. Twelve was no different, and now grapples with the horrible misdeeds of their time as a hunter. One thing is certain for them. They are not a hero. They may not be the villain anymore, but they are beyond redemption. And as always, this story is exclusive to Wattpad, and if it is seen on any other site, such as NovelHD for example, I didn't put it there.

A betrayed Vessel was pushed down the fountain as a sacrifice to the Pale King in hopes he would return. Killing her fueled the Radiance's anger and the Infection began to spread faster, and take more violent control over it's hosts' bodies. This continued until the little knight arrived and put an end to the "Light that Plagued their Dreams." But when the hero died something much more unexpected happened, a wyrm of void and god appeared in the Ancient Basin, with the knowledge of things that had happened before, claiming to be the Vessel the old king's followers pushed down the fountain. I just wanted to write this.... Technically this is finished. But I've left it marked "Ongoing" just in case I decide to add joke chapters to it.

This novel depicts the full story of Hollow Knight in the perspectives of 5 different characters, which are represented in 5 long chapters. Many things in the Hollow Knight lore are very unclear, so we had to fictionalize some things. Please dont get mad because some events appear that are not 100% confirmed to be accurate.
