The tumultuous 1960s has brought about the beginnings of Humanity's first steps into the cosmos. The Cold War was just nearing its peak, however the advent of Yuri Gagarin's flight in 1969 brought about large-scale reforms in all of the major world powers.
After a limited nuclear exchange had taken place between the late 1950s and early 1960s, the devastating weapons of war were set aside and placed in storage before a new organization built on the concepts of Understanding, Unity, Trust, Equality, Discovery and Humanity First came into being.
Visionaries were elected into positions of power, technological development accelerated ten-fold, and by the early 1980s; an age of enlightenment and science had begun.
It is now 2230; the dawn of Humanity's golden age, and the newest flagship of the United Terran Federation Navy is nearing completion. As the launch date draws ever closer; all eyes look outwards beyond the edge of the fledgling Federation's borders and think back on the lyrics of an ancient song from the Early Space Age;
"Glory to those who look forward!
Glory to those who go forward!
Our path starts from the present
To the coming years!"

Someone is keeping secrets and they might decide the fate of the Colony. The plan to end the war just might work but it is the most controversial topic in history. The people of Cambaar split into two sides over the final battle. Lorelei still doesn't believe it will work. As the war rages forward relationships unravel. Sanity is lost. In the year 2026, an alien race called the Zlocu led under the command of the bloodthirsty Emperor, Malgan Tomentradi, are waging war across the stars, believing that the era of peace was slowing down the next step of universal evolution. Now, they are determined to "awaken" everyone to let them know how peace made them weak. Recovering from a devastating global conflict, planet Earth took one of the worst hits from the Zlocu's onslaught. Despite the efforts of various governments, the Zlocu occupied 80% of Earth. Everything seemed hopeless until a group of celestial beings called "The Guardians" started to intervene in the conflict, spurred on by the discovery of the four physical incarnations that represent the principles of the Universe itself. All of them found on planet Earth, three Humans and an Alien. Now, these four heroes and other factions must work together to defeat the Zlocu Empire and Malgan's reign of tyranny. But more than war, they also must discover the meaning of being a hero and a warrior in the modern world, one in which Humanity may have lost its way. Nihonkoku Shoukan: Beyond
After 2 major wars against two galactic superpowers, and the Garmillas refugee crisis of 2205, Japan, a part of the Earth Federation, now is seeing true peace. The rebuilding process is happening smoothly, with cooperation between citizens from all walks of life, between the Garmillian refugees and Terrans, and even the famous Shinkansen Maglev system is also rebuilt. However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh. The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it!
