Indian Premiere League and Players List

Indian Premiere League (IPL) will start on 31st March 2023 and for this mega event of cricket, the auction of the players was scheduled on 23rd December 2022.

The last date for submitting the nomination for the players was 15th November 2022. 10 teams have been listed through the BBCI and a total of 405 players were listed by the BCCI for this auction. Among these 405 players, 273 were Indian and 132 were foreign players.

The teams made some surprising bold choices by laying off some big names and by picking up some fresh faces. However, replacement is the rule of the universe so we are not very surprised by this at all. The old franchises decided to keep a hold on 163 old players while they decided to release 85 players. Sunrisers Hyderabad had highest in the purse and the amount was Rs 42.25 crore.
