Among Brighter Stars

Beatrice Celine Aragon has always believed that some things are better kept simple.

Study hard. Work when she can. Dance whenever life gives her a reason to forget how exhausting everything else can be. She doesn't have the luxury of choosing only what she loves, so she learns to hold on to whatever helps her keep moving forward.

Then there's Julian Miguel Flores

A boy she never planned to notice. The irritatingly confident pilot student who seems to have way too much time for her, enjoys getting on her nerves, and somehow always finds a reason to appear when she least wants him around.

Cely tells herself he's only having fun.
Because why would someone like Julian be interested in her?

But Julian doesn't seem interested in following the rules she's made for herself. He notices the little things, shows up when she needs someone, and slowly becomes part of the life she's so determined to keep under control.

Between dance competitions, college deadlines, part-time work, family expectations, and the uncertainty of what comes after graduation, Cely begins to realize that growing up isn't always about choosing between what you need and what you love.

Sometimes, it's about discovering who you want beside you while you're trying to become the person you've always wanted to be.

And somewhere between the dreams they're chasing and the mistakes they're afraid to make, Cely and Julian may find out that some stars aren't meant to be reached.

Some are simply meant to guide you home.
