The moon has the centre for a vast lunar complex. Fully functioned computerised control systems help fulfil the demands and necessities to home hundreds of new colonists. Minerals and exploration have become possible to allow the growth a new society on the moon. Artificial intelligence controls and supervises the stations' needs. Exploration across the lunar surface has become increasingly regular as the growth of the Omicron stations increases. Mankind is about to uncover a hostile alien entity that lies embedded deep within the crusts of the lunar surface. 

The arrival of a mysterious alien time traveller worsens the suspicion created among the explorers of the Omicron settlers. Accidents on the lunar surface become frequent happenings. The entities that emerge to invade Omicron 4 begin to seep in and feed on the humans. The Doctor realises that if the entities were to reach the other stations and Earth, the human race would become the livestock of an all-consuming alien race. Now, with the entity unleashed, the suppression of the invaders becomes an almost impossible task...

As the Doctor and his friends are taken aboard the spacecraft, the situation becomes quite clear. The Commander seems hell-bent on trying to wipe out these aliens. With his deceptive measures to help prove that these aliens are hostile, the Doctor must now stop a bloodbath taking place from the aliens and the Earth and wiping out millions of people. Having hidden out on Earth to a destination in South London, the Cybermen soon begin to make their plans. Kidnapping innocent children and civilians off the street, the Cybermen soon take to their conquest of the Earth... As events worsen in London, and more disappearances and unusual happenings occur, the Doctor is forced to cooperate with the military to defeat the Cybermen. The army soon falls into the hands of the Cybermen's deceit and manipulation. In the skirmish between Earth's forces and theirs, the Cybermen create a creature that is capable of feelings and emotions, for good or for evil.
