A mysterious and deadly plague has swept across Pyrrhia, turning dragons into monstrous versions of themselves before their loved ones' very eyes. It's unlike anything anyone has seen before, and it doesn't discriminate in swallowing victims from any tribe, here on Pyrrhia or anyone from Pantala. However, some dragons stand out as special in the midst of the outbreak - unfazed, unbroken, unturned. Is it their destiny to pave a path through the chaos to get the world into a safe future?
How does a young student teacher save dragonets from these monsters they're all afraid of? How does a reconnaissance agent accomplish her mission when the world is falling apart? How does a young soldier, being accused of treason, achieve his lifelong military dreams when he's forced to choose between his superior's orders and the oath he swore? And, almost lastly, how does a complicated dragon balance her duty to fight for the greater good with her desires to save her own sister?
But, arguably most importantly...what in the world could a dragon zombie apocalypse be like???

He attends Jade Mountain Academy meeting Moonwatcher, another mind reader. He meets new friends, his winglet. He soon finds out about dark secrets along with his newly found friends. Death follows, with a great danger lurking above them. Will Nightfighter and his friends survive? Or will they die trying? If you haven't read the books yet, this might be a bit confusing because this takes place first in book six and takes some information from book 7.
