On the streets of New Jersey, gang violence and poverty is a regular thing for downtown. Fights are started, homes are broken into and girls are thrown around at such young ages. Life is bad. Extremely bad, but for Paige, a girl who lives uptown with the richest family in the city, life is good not knowing about the struggles on the other side.
When Paige is brought into the world of gang violence and poverty, she meets Colton, a boy with unruly messy black hair and a crooked but charming smile. Their two opposite worlds collide, and Paige is forced to choose between the life she grew up with riches and safety and the life she meets. A life with the boy she grows to love and the dangers and destitution that go with it.
