Going to high school isn't the easiest thing in the world, at least not in her eyes.

Maxine Reame is a sixteen year old girl, normal. Ish.

Maxine was bullied all through middle school, but when she finally got a boyfriend on the football team, that all stopped.

She began falling for him, but he didn't truly care about her. So Max just uses him as an excuse not to be bullied anymore. She gave up her hopeless love for him, and just took whatever life had to throw at her.

Well, until she moves.

Now, Max is in the same position as she was in middle school. Either face the fact she's being bullied, or go out with the jock that had taken an interest in her.

Max meets gets into a small group of five people, and they quickly bond. But one guy doesn't seem to like her so much.

Will Max make the same mistakes as last time? Or will everything change?

Perhaps she's more different than anyone would have thought.
