After three long years of war between Hope's Peek and the Remnants of Despair, the Despair's organization leaders are kidnapped and therefore said organization falls to the ground, ending the Hope and Despair War.
The leaders Junko Enoshima, Izuru Kamakura, and Shuichi Saihara are put into therapy to attempt to get them to fall out of despair. But one seems a little different than the other two.
As one of the workers at Hope's Peek Therapy, Kokichi Oma, cares for and tolerates one of them, a certain truth is brought to light.
