After their 5-year relationship ended 16 years ago, ex-lovers Solar and Adler found themselves sitting next to each other in a downtown coffee shop. Reunited by Selene's desperation to complete her requirements before graduating from high school, the ex-couple were invited to answer her interview questions for the release of the school's literary portfolio in February.

Once deemed as the "ideal lovers," Solar and Adler had to respond to Selene's questions about their past relationship with honesty and professionalism. Past burning stares of love were long extinguished. Past passionate emotions were long buried. Past electric heartbeats lost their power. Past photographs of young sweethearts have turned to ashes.

Or so they thought.
