Marina Antonov tried moving on with her life, but with all the friends she lost, a part of her died a little. But when everything was going well living alone in a small house, she was suddenly pulled to go to the grand palace, and her friend Alina tried to explain that the king needed a "guard," but why would he need a guard? The darkling is dead, and why would Alina pick her when she knew the past marina had with him all too well?

All Things Must End
A year after Alina Starkov tears down the Shadow Fold, she is finally able to settle into her peaceful life. There is no more war with Ravka. I send the Cut barrelling at the monster. It dissociates into nothing only for another one to take its place. Again, I send the Cut through the abomination, but it was only a diversion. A/N: It started as a Darkling x OC book. But I couldn't justify that for the second season. So, for the second season, it has become a Nikolai x OC book. (I blame Ben Barnes even though I had read the books and knew what was coming, it still started with the Darkling, but then Nikolai swaggered onto the screen, and it just had to change!) Season 1: The Darkling was quite happy to keep to himself, locking everybody out. But that was hard when a chatty hyper healer was determined to get his attention without even realising it. The one problem is that having the Darkling's attention brought a lot of unwanted attention in and of itself. Leigh just wanted to befriend everybody (well, not everybody; she would love to be more than friends with a particular shadow summoner.)
