Rhythm, a 37-year-old Bard, has spent the last two years saving to buy her girlfriend of ten years an engagement ring. After finally making enough, she proposes only to find her girlfriend, Violet, in bed with someone else. Fed up, she breaks up with her and goes to her friend Jonah's bar, where she tells him that she will leave. Instead of talking her out of it, he suggested that she take the journey to Vibrano, a large city that held an annual performer competition. Never having the chance to embrace her music as she wanted, she decided to go. Jonah offers to go along with her, tired of the life he made for himself. They head out the next day to discover new talents, new romances, and how one disregarded Bard can change an entire kingdom.

Trigger warnings: Depression and talks of suicide.
