Mirabel disappears for a year from the Encanto.

After Abuela's death, Mirabel flees the Encanto once more. Due to a rough rainy season, the river carries her to a world she never imagined, let alone even heard of.

An aged Grey Wizard pulls her out of the Baranduin River the day of a particular Hobbit's 111th birthday, saving her life.

Having no idea where she is or how she got there, Mirabel has every right to panic. Wizards? Hobbits? A Ring? A Dark Lord?

Embarking on a journey with Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf assures Mirabel that a powerful, wise, and fair race of beings known as Elves will be more than happy to help her sort things out and send her home again.

When a solution presents itself however, Mirabel reluctantly stays as she discovers something new and astonishing about herself-the gift she doesn't have in her home world is more than made up for in this world.

Unfortunately, this new discovery also draws the attention of the last being in this world she'd ever want to meet-

The Dark Lord Sauron.

Now unable to return home, Mirabel joins the Fellowship at Gandalf's and Lord Elrond's encouragement, journeying with the company as they travel through Middle Earth on their long, ominous, dangerous road to Mordor.
