"There are no secrets that time does not reveal." - Jean Racine

For the past seventeen years of Elise Morgan's life, she was kept in the dark from the truth of the disappearance of her missing parents. Not a single trace, not a single clue but an old pocket watch was left behind. No one told her what happened on the day they vanished. Not even her loving aunt who took care of her since she was little tells a single thing about them.

Wanting to conceive about the truth of her parents' disappearance, she searched for clues and answers other than the pocket watch.

But suddenly, when three new kids appeared out of nowhere in town and claimed that they know about the pocket watch and her missing parents, things started to get strange.

With only an old pocket watch as her only clue and three people she doesn't know that could be her only hope, will Elise be able to discover the truth about her missing parents?

BOOK NUMBER 1 OF 12 IN THE MULTIMAGICAL SERIES BY LILLIAN R.S. ☆☆☆ Emeline Orman was sixteen when she and her parents moved across the country to the coastline of Washington state. A small town known as Melbrew sat comfortably in the middle of thick woods, so tiny and unknown that it doesn't show up on any maps, making it the perfect spot for malicious activity to go unnoticed. On her first day of school, she met some rather weird people, who all shared a strange similar interest. This little group had quite the reputation for their knowledge of the town's not-so-secret dark history... as well as all of the unusual things that have been reported to them. It all started with the rich Humphrey family tragedy back in the 1800s, where for years it has been speculated that the mother killed her husband and children. Being very eager to get to the bottom of all the town's mysteries, one thing leads to another as discovery after discovery begins to pile up, ranging from random holes in the ground, to suspicious buildings in the middle of the woods. Secret doors, tunnels, and books that talk about nonsense seem like they lead nowhere, with no connections! Though perhaps the most mysterious oddity of them all is the otherworldly gateway surrounded by old fences, tied back to the founding family. ☆☆☆ • CW: Strong language, murder, and gore • 34 Total Chapters! • Total Word Count: 142,450 • PLEASE NOTE: This book is part of a series! Although the beginnings of the story take place in 1982 in a small town in rural Minnesota, Sheriff Jack Olafson still carries the weight of a missing girl case from twenty years ago. He was just a young deputy when Natalie Wilcox, a teenage girl, went missing. She was never found. When Tina Sandstrom, another pretty, teenage girl disappears, it conjures up memories from his only failed case. The small town of Rockford, Minnesota was built along the Crow River, with a rich history of flour and lumber mills. Many of the remnants of its past are still visible, including the original single lane bridge over the river. Generations of families continue to live in town and the local diner provides the venue for the old timers to share stories about the town. But no one wants to talk about what happened to Natalie Wilcox. It's a safe town, filled with farmers and hard-working families. Kids ride their bikes, play in the park, and explore in a time before everyone was addicted to technology. Jack vows to solve the case of the missing girl. With the assistance of a loyal deputy, Officer Peterson, Jack puts everything he has into finding Tina Sandstrom. They uncover potential witnesses, find disturbing and interesting clues, but still find their target elusive. A newcomer arrives in town, with family ties to long standing members of the community. Jack's rides a roller coaster of emotion as he digs deeper into the histories of the flock he has sworn to serve and protect. Secrets come out. The newcomer, Alex Larson, whose Aunt and Uncle, Stein and Alma, have owned Larson's Lumber Yard for generations, is a troubled youth who witnesses his father's death in a hunting accident in northern Minnesota, on the border of the Red Lake Indian Reservation.

The faceless individual attacked Jessy, threatened Cleo's mother in a letter, and painted a red raven symbol on Richy's garage. Jake and MC continue their investigation into Hannah's disappearance because it appears that no harm has been done until Richy was attacked by the man without a face in the woods and was bleeding. What will MC do after that? After the death of her beloved grandmother, Megha, Kashvi inherits an antique pocket watch-an heirloom passed down through generations. On the night of Megha's funeral, she has a vivid, almost supernatural dream, where Megha pleads with her to find the man who killed her. But her final words hold a chilling warning: "The Arcanum Order will come for the watch." Determined to uncover the truth, Kashvi begins investigating, but strange things start happening-eerie coincidences, shadows that shouldn't be there, and the feeling that she's always being watched. Then, she accidentally activates the watch-and discovers its impossible secret. The watch isn't just a family heirloom. It is an artifact of immense power, tied to an ancient secret that has been haunting her family for generations. The Arcanum Order, a hidden organization that safeguards dangerous relics, claims the watch was never meant to be hers. Megha was supposed to surrender it to them, but she didn't. And now, they want it back. But there's more. Kashvi learns that the watch doesn't just track time-it can bend it. It holds the power of time travel, but every time she uses it, she loses part of her own life in return. As Kashvi and her best friend Anshuman search for answers, they uncover whispers of betrayal, forgotten history, and a murder that was never meant to be solved. The deeper they dig, the more they realize Megha's death is just the beginning of something far darker than they ever imagined. The Order is watching. The murderer is still out there.
