Her only escape from this twisted reality is a creature named Shadow. A terrifying creature that is somehow more humane than the so-called humans around her. Shadow could easily take all her problems away, but Melody refuses to take the easy way out. That is, until she just couldn't take it anymore, she takes Shadow's offer and soon her life got better. Her bullies started disappearing, showing up dead in the woods. Their bodies badly mutilated, almost unrecognizable. Life at school started getting better, she finally had human friends and even a boyfriend. Her "father" was found dead at her house. The torture had finally ended. However she has a big secret, no she's not an elf, fairy, or anything else like that. Rosemary is abused by her drunken mother and careless father. And before you leave dismissing it as some stupid damsel-in-distress story, realize that this is hardly a work of fiction. Yes, I'll admit, some details have been exaggerated for dramatic purposes, and names have been changed as well as the location, to protect the privacy of the people in the story. However the key details and happenings in Rose's life are very true. A/N: So I have no idea what happened but there is only the one chapter.
