This story is about a young female starting into college that learns there is more to life than having a family, friends, working hard in school, and all the rest. She finds herself ripped from her world to another. The story starts with her being a knight on another planet. She must face her traumas of being a slave, so she ends up writing a journal of what she did go through and felt. We all go through heard times.
