During a mission Jaune, his team and Team RWBY had a unlikely assignment to do some clean up duty for a nearby town that had recently gotten involved with a recent Grimm attack.

During the clean up, Jaune unknowing to his surroundings was suddenly attacked by a Grimm that was thought to be dead, it then attacked Jaune, leaving his armor damaged and ruined.
