After jumping in tartarus for Annabeth,losing his insanity, Percy was only thinking about a certain ghost king instead of his wise girl. In the camp, Annabeth replaced Percy for a new guy, angering the camp, especially Nico, Thalia and of course posiedon.

After the second war everything starts to go back to normal. Except for Percy, normal is never an option. Annabeth and Percy broke up. Not that Percy was particularly sad about it. After Tartarus Percy wasn't able to feel that connection with Annabeth. He was glad and relieved that they broke up.
