There was no answer; it didn't have to, as the grip circled on his hands tightened was more than enough.
His eyes fluttered closed, slowly lulling himself to sleep. Tomorrow was his turn to make breakfast. At noon their grandkids would come visit, nagging them to teach how to play volleyball. Maybe they could take a short visit to Miyagi again; Tobio had once more encountered another diamond in a rough and determined to watch them grow.
A fond smile curled on his lips. Even though they're already so old, their bones and spirit would be forever youngーno wonder their kids kept complaining about how hard it was controlling their parents.
A problem for later. Right now, he needed sleep. Shoyou let his consciousness slipped away, welcoming another dreamless sleep.
