World War Two had just began, and a nation draft was issued for all non-faceless engines. If they are alive, then they shall fight for their right to live. Sodor was close to disconnecting from the mainland, but they weren't fast enough. WWII delayed that, and that meant Sodor engines were eligible for the draft. After deeming that the other's weren't fit for their demands, they chose the NWR's poor number five.
War time efforts change people, but what happens when they change someone too much? What happens when the ignorant engine that left Sodor doesn't come home the same?

Fallout Beyond Sodor
Thomas steals a goods train from James in order to go to the mainland and see the world. All in all, things seem fine at first with him meeting engines from the other railway. However, several shady things start going on. The main one being the newly constructed Power Plant which is already bringing a sense of unease within the first few months of it first being established. Unfortunately, things soon go wrong as Thomas is not only imprisoned, but not long after, all hell breaks loose. Will Thomas The Tank Engine and his friends, both new and old, survive this nightmare? There are several different reasons as to why, from not wanting to be written about to Wilbert having too much on his plate already. (I personally blame the publishers for that last one.)
