This is the prequel to "The Infectious Series." The first book in the series is "Infectious Intent," second is "Infectious Devotion" and third is "Infectious Submission." I would recommend reading the series before reading this book. Becoming fixated by this token, (f/n) strives to improve her craft all the more in hopes of one day meeting this knight and having a gift to present him back as her own token of thanks. In doing so, however, she unknowingly causes a hatred to brew within her village of Levonshire. Is it a matter of if the hatred will strike, or is it a matter of when will the hatred make its lasting mark on the village and (f/n)? It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.
