Perhaps never known true
By james a. galgano

Cruel fate awaits no one least of not foolish me.
For here my lonely heart and soul unwavering clings to somewhere some humanity
Crying in the wings of someone else's shadows which like curtains often drop to hide the sun we never wish to see.
While we often linger here for one reply do or die in all its inevitability unread
While age clouds every moment, we dare not read for fear ridicule may welcome in alarming force of dread
Was it something we wrote maybe something we said that was not quite right for you?
Did you read every word written or was it out of your boundaries or undue a response you sought?
Or were you there in the web of time at last caught searching for some sort of escape?
Perhaps maybe it was just a cruel fate found we never had one chance to forego.
Yet if it were this simple, why would we both here reading this poem of words or maybe woe.
Maybe if we had to read what was written more clearly than we would know.
But don't hold your breadth it only hides both of our weaknesses beneath whose unnamed cloud we might still never know ...true

MELANCHOLY | Melancholy drips from my fingertips. SOON TO BE A PUBLISHED PAPERBACK. COMING 2025! This melancholy drips from my fingertips so slowly, you begin to forget I even exist. All of me, the hard parts of flesh you could never seem to love, drips down the drain. I am waiting for the day for your fingers to unscrew the pipes, dig through debris and mess, scrape your heart against the rust, just to find me, so we can go through it all over again. Here, in the pages I find myself, in the ink that writes against my flesh, I will whisper the sadness, the heartache, and the decaying for all of the unspoken. Perhaps under this layer of melancholy, the girl I once knew still exists.    First poetry collection in the series. Original poems based off real life experiences. #12 in poetry.
