Your purpose of life was to serve, to sacrifice, always dedicated to one owner. And when one dies, you were to move on to another. Really, it's not like you ever volunteered to. But in a world of cruelty, not everyone is always given a choice. Desires were never a thing for you, until you were on board of a certain pirate ship...
(This is just the prelude of a story I had in mind. But I haven't watched enough of the anime to write about that so I'm working on this instead. :)
I'm pretty sure you know but I don't own One Piece or any of the characters in it.
I drew the new cover art so it belongs to me ('-ωก'), but the chapter arts don't belong to me but to its original artist

Also, this story will contain major spoilers of the original manga/anime as it proceeds if you haven't watched up to the timeskip yet.

Maybe somewhere out there, in the world, there's freedom and adventure? Maybe one day he can have a name of his own. Then Mackerel is dragged into a world where the Marines have a target on him and his new crews backs and he's forced to coexist with a passive aggressive swordsman who hates his guts... but thats fine because Mackerel feels exactly the same.
