Monty Black had not seen his father in twelve years. He had long acknowledged that he may never see him again, after all, what with the terrible crimes Sirius Black had committed, did he even want to see his father again?

Sirius is searching for redemption. Redemption from the family he deserted far too long ago. He is determined to reunite with them no matter what the cost, no matter how much his son wants to forget his existence.

The two are searching for different things - of course, fate finds a way to bring them together.
