After loosing so many people a brunette girl forced her mind to shut off contact with most people as way to block out herself from more hurt, but when a man she held inside the barriers, after so long of him pushing through, is ripped away from the girl, all she sees is red. 

Not anger. 

Blood. 

What happens when that girl is thrown into a month long journey of revenge along with the auburn haired girl she'd finally grown to be close with only for it to be destroyed once her uncle was murdered.

Will the journey end with the two girls shamelessly killing each other or will their broken minds push each other into a state of peace as they desperately clawed at what was left of the broken world around them?

She was only a couple of years older than Sarah. Then there was the fact that she was Tess' sister. He considered Tess a friend. He's might go as far as to say she's best friend. They grew closer because of the similar trauma they suffered from the outbreak. He lost Sarah, and Tess lost both her husband and her little boy. He made it his mission to keep yn at a distance, not too distant, though. He still looked out for her and had the strong feeling to always protect her. When twenty years into the outbreak they find themselves smuggling a fourteen year old girl out of the QZ to get her to a lab because she's immune and could be the key to a cure, they lose Tess on the way, leaving them to only have each other.
