Ayla Dumont - seventh year Slytherin and only daughter to one of the most powerful pureblood families in Europe - is preparing to graduate from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Focused on passing her exams with top marks, Ayla is on an elite track to becoming an Unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries. But when the school's Headmaster announces that a new, and even more prestigious, position at the Ministry (Junior Advisor to the Minister) will be awarded to a single graduating student, Ayla finds herself in direct competition with her long-time friend and rival, Lucius Malfoy. As Ayla and Lucius use their cunning and ambition to beat the competition - and each other - Ayla stumbles across a darker secret hidden away in the castle: the magical portraits hanging on the walls have started losing their voices and going still, before disappearing all together.

Intrigued, but focused on her N.E.W.T.s, Ayla doesn't think much of the missing art. Until a chance encounter leads her to the portrait of a young bard with kind eyes and a sad smile. Victim to the mysterious, magical disease the bard is unable to speak. Yet the young man finds a way to connect with Ayla through the notes he plays on his lute. As she spends more and more time with him in the empty halls of the castle, the more determined she finds herself to understand the meaning behind his melodies.

Conflicted, and running out of time before exams, Ayla must choose between solving the mystery of the disappearing art and the mute man in the portrait, or leaving him behind to pursue the future expected of her.

The world of Harry Potter is rich and robust. It is full of characters you've never met, and stories that have never been told. The Hogwarts Legacy Series seeks to tell some of these stories of the lives of witches and wizards that came before the Boy Who Lived.

Ayla Dumont's original story takes place in the year 1972, during the rise of the First Wizarding War.

Going to Hogwarts is nothing like attending any other school. For one, you get to live most of the year in the grand and majestic castle. Second, you are sorted into different houses where you can garner relationships, some of which will become even truer than family. You may not be able to choose your family, but you get to choose your friends. Choose wisely and you may create a new family unlike what you could have ever imagined. Belladonna, a pureblood witch, is embarking on her first adventurous year at Hogwarts. Unlike most purebloods, she does not live and breathe 'blood purity'. Bell stands out from what is expected of her. She starts out as an impressionable, naiive young girl, but evolves into a stronger and more independent leader. With her growing friendships and the disillusionment of who her family truly is, Bell will begin her adventure to becoming the greatest witch of her age. The only question remaining: Will one witch be enough to make a difference in a secret world that's been tainted by corruption and prejudice? *** *Slow burn, but a bunch of fluff to make you smile!* *This is marked Mature: -sorry no smut, they aren't even teens yet! -there is violence and bullying. -Voldemort has some dark ideas and his followers choose to live by them. *this story begins their first year at Hogwarts. It's the first book of the series. *This story contains mild violence and fighting. As it progresses, there will be darker themes of hatred, abuse and segregation.

Violet Potter and The Last True Marauders (Year Three)

10 parts Ongoing

Violet Potter is thirteen years old, now a teenager, and so ready to begin Year Three at Hogwarts. But nothing ever goes quite the way Violet hopes it will. Dementors are stationed everywhere around Hogwarts, and the otherwise enchanting Village of Hogsmeade by temporary Ministry of Magic decree. A high security convict has escaped from Azkaban Prison, and it is someone from out of Harry and Violet's past. Someone who was once such a trusted friend of Lily and James Potter that they named him Harry's godfather. Someone who would be sentenced to rot in Azkaban for mass murder. But did he really commit the crimes? It is none other than Sirius Black. The other last true Marauder, is the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Remus Lupin, who carries such a terrifying burden of his own that it has made him a lifelong outcast in magical society. But are they really the guilty ones? Or is there a cowardly and traitorous little rat lurking about...? Disclaimer: This is a fan reimagining of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling. I do not own anything of the series except for the characters I made up.
