A dark age is coming to the three clans: the Thunder Pack of wolves, the Flame Skulk of foxes, and the Mist Pounce of lynxes. An evil force will come, and mess up with them, causing more battles and conflict between the members of the same clans.
Wind Dawn wants to have his own skill like the other wolves in the Thunder Pack, but is afraid that he is not special. After his sister Moss Dawn is killed and his parents don't see anything in him, he knows he has to show that's his special to his pack-mates.
Silent Spirit survived being bullied by her skulk-mates for being less confident and not wanting to go to battles, and now she has to help her apprentice, Maple Dawn, to know the fox code and that she needs to know who to trust and who not. Her friends are always here for her to remind her true strength. But after she falls in love with an outsider, Rowan, she notices that things are starting to get weird.
Frost Dawn knows that every lynx in her pounce knows her secret - she is half-outsider. The other to-bes bully her, but she knows that her mother, Sunlit Snow and her friend, Leaf Dawn are here to help her. She soon develops a crush on Rain Dawn, even though he doesn't love her back but doesn't bully her either. She knows she has to prove her inner strength, even if she's not a pure Mist Pounce member. But something tragic happens, and she has to figure out how that happened.
