In the village of Misgard, 21-year old named Lorlei Stark receives a call from the Avengers informing her that she has been hired for a top-secret mission: capture the god of mischief, Loki. Lorlei's unique abilities make her a valuable asset to the team, but this mission proves to be more difficult than expected.
As Lorlei and Loki work together, they discover that they share a mutual fascination for one another. Their chemistry grows as they work through obstacles and learn more about each other. But Lorlei knows that she cannot trust Loki, and must stay focused on the task at hand.
As the mission reaches its climax, Lorlei and Loki find themselves at a crossroads. Do they follow their hearts and give in to their feelings, or do they let their differences tear them apart?

The Betrothal
This story takes place before Thor, so Loki doesn't know he's a frost giant and hasn't taken over Earth. Y/N Njorddottir - The goddess of love, beauty, all of that nice stuff. I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers.
