The Exception

Beverly Brown is just trying to survive her junior year. All she wants is to keep her near-perfect average, have fun with her three best girlfriends, and, of course, start and finish the album that will push her band further into the spotlight. She can't afford any distractions, especially if they come in the form of senior Crew O'Connor.

Crew O'Connor has known one thing his entire life: hockey. So when it comes time to decide his future Crew knows there's only one option, and that's to go pro. But realizing his lifelong dream will be harder than Crew thinks, especially coupled with insecurities and fear. His only semblance of peace from the fear of the future comes in the form of his best friends, his teammates, and of course the girl he's been chasing since he was fourteen.

When a mishap on the first day of school pushes Beverly and Crew closer than ever before, their lives will intertwine more than they thought possible. Now seeing each other at every twist and turn, Beverly has to keep reminding herself the hockey captain won't reciprocate her secret infatuation, and Crew has to remember Bev is his best friend's little sister. But what will happen when memories and reminders aren't enough to supress their growing feelings?
