Ari and her mother, June, have recently moved to a new house in South Australia so they can finally keep their horse with them after Ari was adopted at ten years old three years prior. She never felt a love for horses like her mother did, but she has always had a respect for animals. At her new school, she meets Mia and Ray, and the three become very close. But the day before, Ari had saved something in the forest. It needs help. It doesn't belong. It plagues her with terrible nightmares. She must return it to where it came from. Even stranger, Ari begins to notice strange changes happening to her body. She gets progressively more confused...
