Waking up in a strange and dingy land known by the non-human locals as Glumm, Noire instantly finds herself questioning almost everything about her situation - even her own name. Whilst her crippling amnesia leaves her desperate for answers, one thing is very clear: she is in a great deal of danger. Humans are somewhat of a rarity in Glumm. Not because of how many find themselves trapped there, but because of how many last more than a few days before being devoured by the tickly terrors. For in this land, the most precious thing one has to give is their sweet, never-ending laughter... and it very quickly becomes evident that the creatures of this world are far more advanced than anything Noire has seen before. Armed with genius methods of keeping their prey conscious and alive seemingly indefinitely, getting caught around here usually means to spend the rest of your drawn-out years trapped as a glorified tickle toy until you're nothing more than a lifeless, soulless shell. To make things even more terrifying for poor Noire, she's always been unbearably sensitive all over her body.

Though her far-from-towering stature and slim build may not come across as the most intimidating, her dry and at times fiery attitude can cause anyone to second guess getting on the wrong side of her.
Equipped with very little knowledge of who she is and how she got here, Noire's mission is simple: get back home. Unfortunately, such a mammoth task is unlikely enough even with a full memory.

During her harrowing adventures through Glumm, Noire will meet a multitude of other characters. Some humanoid, others... far from it. Does she have what it takes to overcome the certain torment that stalks her every move, or will she become just another poor soul, doomed to an eternity of ticklish hell?
