Taken away from his family at a young age, Burt was sent away to a lab and experimented on. During all these tests, he slowly lost his sanity along with his human traits. He began to eat human flesh and indulged more with his animalistic side. However, sometimes bits of his human side would seep through and he would get painful headaches. The headaches were actually just his brain trying to help him figure out what his past life was like, however, he was quickly dealt with whenever he had a.. headache. One day, he went ballistic and went on a rampage, killing everyone in his path. He broke out of the laboratory and ran away into the woods. Now he was cold, tired, hungry, and trying to figure out who he was and what his old life was like. With his father gone, Matthew Samuels struggled with his mental and physical health. His mom's boyfriend, Joseph, wasn't much of a help either. With only a few more weeks of summer left, Matthew just wanted to make the most out of it. However, during a camping trip, they came across a lost boy who went by the name, "Rickey." While Matthew was suspicious of this boy and his origin, his mother immediately insisted they took him in because of his frail figure. Little did they know just how much trouble they would put themselves in from that point on. Will Burt and Matthew be able to help each other face their inner demons and escape the labyrinth in their minds that's been holding them captive for too long, or will they die trying or kill everyone in the process?

However, through the hellfires of the apocalypse, a legend was born out from redemption, revenge and determination; a bounty hunter named Hunter Vick. Join him on his journey as he travels through the vast wastelands in order to stop a civil war between his two biggest clients, uncover the secrets of a hidden faction which threatens to destroy everything, and overcome a personal obstacle which has haunted him for years. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Hunter is the lone ranger, the only one that could possibly save everyone from their eventual demise if nothing changes. He will have to overcome some of the greatest obstacles in his life from mutations to Hunter killers to morale questionings. Can Hunter muster the strength required to save everyone, or will he fall like the billions of other survivors before him? He doesn't have much time, his sanity is running out, and his will to live will be put to the ultimate test in what it truly means to live up to your fate and destiny. But it doesn't really matter now, because in this cruel, twisted world, there are two types of people: the ones who are lost, and the ones who are dead.

Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than the cells responsible for constructing one's genetic code. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...
