The Colors of Renewal is a short story about a girl named Kaylee recovering from her ongoing depression.

Who knew that just a sunset could have such an impact on somebody?

Author's note: I wanted to write this story because I know many family and friends that suffer from depression. 

Lots of media protrays depression as just crying and sobbing all the time. But it is much, much, more than that. Depression makes you feel empty. Lifeless. Like everything around you is crumbling apart and nothing you can do can make it better.

But please, if you are in crisis right now, there are lots of help out there. Don't lose hope. Don't give in. I believe in you.
