One And The Same (Toby X Reader) (Astro Boy 2009)
President Stone has finally been taken down and peace has returned to Metro City. Everyone has accepted Astro as their friend and savior, and he can finally return back to his normal life. However, among the rubble, a young boy emerges, frightened and confused. Toby pushes himself to his feet and takes a few steps forwards before he is knocked to the ground once more. He looks up and his eyes widen when he sees an exact replica of himself. A boy with his face, who practically stole his identity. Out of spite for the newly arisen hero, a newfound hatred rises inside of Toby as he stares at the happy robot. Instead of facing him head on however, he runs. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people.
