When Ianthe Thatcher, a 21 year old Gotham City native reluctantly accepts a seemingly promising position at Arkham Asylum, her path takes an unexpected turn. 

In addition to the crumbling state of her city and the proximity of her workplace to the some of the most devilish, crime-ridden barrows of Gotham, her new boss, Jonathan Crane, may just be the devil himself.

But as a strange, slow-burning passion forms between the two, the workings of Gotham's corrupt gets in the way. Long buried secrets from Ianthe's past are dug up and now it's up to her to save herself from Jonathan's criminal associates and his deadly charm.
