This book is about a 6 year old girl named Lucy and a 5 year old boy named Justin.  They have to learn how to do things on their own. It all started when their mom passed away.  Their dad never really knew how to do anything such as cooking.  Well every night their dad goes out to play with his friends, and pretends he doesn't even have kids. At least that is what Lucy and Justin think.  They have never known how to cook before so they mostly have sandwiches and canned food.  One day the get so hungry and they don't want sandwiches or canned food, they made a wise choice to finally talk to there dad. It is up to Lucy and Justin to make the best choice.
