Percy was trained by his parents to use twin katanas, but he had never used them in a real battle, he found his twin katanas with a note from his mother, telling him to go to Japan and seek out his father, Minato Namikaze. He found a strip of cloth and tied it over his eyes so that people wouldn't question his eyes. Percy never goes to Camp Half-Blood, and he left for Japan when he was six years old.
