The Runaways is a thriller/romance story about two detectives who have to solve a missing child case. Their investigation begins in Elden Creek, a small park in Wyoming (FAKE LOCATION!). They discover a minor clue that leads them to other clues. As they follow those clues, they eventually reach a gated community called Renn Weg. What an odd name. When they walk into the town, it seems there was no trace of human life. Throughout the rest of the story, the two detectives need to solve the case while trying to save their own lives. Once you stop. It'll catch up.
