Hajime Hinata is a plain, talentless boy who was thrown into a virtual reality killing game. Forced to choose between Hope and Despair. After the traumatizing loss of his friends and the pain he was put through, he successfully beat the game. Suddenly, an explosion occurred. It affected all students, some more than others. The talentless boy, however, suffered the most. He lost the majority of his memories and now has to fight through despair, again, to get them back. He is put through tormenting nightmares, and suffering to get them back. Can Hajime finally get his memories back? Or will he lose all hope and allow the world to crumble into despair.

Kiku Hansaki is a new transfer student in Hope's Peak Academy. He was often mistaken as a girl for his feminine features and is temporarily mute due to a traumatic event. Kiku just wants to live a normal highschool life and forget about the past. He was an orphan but was later on adopted by his aunt. He struggles to make friends because of his disability and always has a notebook to communicate with others. But, what will happen when the so called Despair sisters come? What will happen to Kiku's happy school life? The real Ryota Mitarai is here and the Imposter is dressed up as Byakuya Togami. There never was a killing game and this story will mostly revolve around the protagonist and this is also a boys love story meaning there will be homosexual relationships and mature content so please beware.
