The Spiteful Runaway [Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra]

You may know me as an the outcast, the boy who cried wolf one too many times, the orphan who lives off of swiping away the possessions and money of others.

But one knew me as the Avatar, and when I heard that, I completely ignored it-- it was just another person messing around with me because I wasn't as good as them. That lady couldn't have known anything. I'm not even a bender. Me? The Avatar? Don't make me laugh.

The thing was, though, when I saw the lady, I felt as if I had forgotten her or something and as if all the blood in my body rushed forward and boiled.

And she...glowed.

I was only five at that time. I'm almost thirteen now.

So, hey. I'm Tyro. I don't know my real name. I heard the name somewhere so I decided to call myself that. I'm a homeless orphan that makes a living off of crime. I am bony, olive-skinned, and have knotty black hair and dull green eyes.

And apparently, I'm the Avatar.

I don't want to be the Avatar.
