In this AU, The Archons still lived. Thousands of years ago, the Archons were human until the higher gods banished them because of the human's sins. Since then, the Archons had became merfolk, most of them can still transform to human by the help of the Hydro Archon. Humans still believe the Archons are dead and only their souls are alive giving people their visions. The higher gods still control the Archons, the Merfolk, and the Humans.

Now people had almost forgotten about the Archons and only believed in the higher gods for protection. Because of this, nations had gone into chaos and wars. One group of people formed call the Fatui where people who's goals are to reach the Archons and bring them back. Most of these people are powerful and could be a god with their powers.
