Chasing Time

Inspired by the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

All Donnie Taylor-Chavez wants is to catch up to the chaos of life;

Pass high school tests, have enough money to sustain herself, apply for every scholarship, and eventually relax and enjoy life as it comes.

But no matter how fast she runs to grasp enough time to take a breath, she never seems to be fast enough.

Her head is spinning with a million concepts, times, and places to remember, and on top of that, her somewhat large family is a constant recipe for whirlwinds.

But there's one person in her life that understands this like no other, more than willing to remind her of the beauty in the chaos, and to simply enjoy a moment of peace with.

They're the anchors that keep each other afloat.
