Ayato had his ending.
Fit for the villain he is nonetheless.
His mother who doesn't quite care about him and a cowardly father who tries to survive his mothers obsession each passing day making the time spent for the father and sun duo non-exsistant.
Although it does not excuse him for the people he's killed and ruined. Especially Teako.

When Teako died, Ayato soon followed suite.
..But when he opened his eyes, every thing was weird:

A Handsome and not cowardly father.
Childhood friends.
Popular at school for ALL the wrong reason!
