This story takes places directly after the end of S4

Everyone's together but not in the way they hoped. Max was still in a coma, Eddie was still gone, Hawkins had been destroyed.

Will starts having episodes, except not like he used to these are different, and he's afraid vecna will use him to hurt his friends.

As a way to make will give in, and take side with him, vecna targets the one person Will loves the most, Mike wheeler. But vecna is too weak to target will and Mike at the same time, so he takes help from an unexpected ally, who keeps Mike in his own mental battle.

Out of love, anger and fear, Will discovers his true potential, and realizes that he's the key they've been missing to stop this madness. All along will has had, certain abilities that no one expected.

When Mike's mental battle turns physical, will does everything he can to save him and just when he thinks it's over, when he finally gets Mike back, things turn for the worst and will and Mike fall together into a trap that could be the end of the world as we know it.
