Adornia has always been home to creatures such as the Unicorns, Elves, Dragons, Dwarves, and other ancient races. These races got along well. In recent times, humans have appeared. Some races say they just appeared out of the land, much as the other races. Others believe there is some connection between them and the Elves, though both sides insist there is not.

Even more recent than humans, there have developed races that are not accepted at all. Shunned by everyone because of his mixed blood, Romain turned his rage and power on the world. Taking control of the land by force, he has taken in many of the Exiled, along with many pure-blooded creatures which lusted for power. He is the only one that has ever been able to join all races together under a common goal.

Romain's power increases daily, and he now rules by force alone. Yet he is paranoid that someone will be able to stop him. Therefore, he roams the land hunting those who oppose him most openly and either recruit their services or eliminate them. Something must be done about Romain, but the only way to defeat him is to gather all the races and wage war on him. The races still harbor their hatred of all others. Mainly the Exiled are the only ones who see what must be done, but the races will not listen to them.
