The air was electric with tension whenever V and the reader were close. At times, it felt like the very air was charged with an unspoken desire between them. Other times, V was his usual aloof self, his cold demeanor making it hard for the herr to know what he was thinking or feeling.
Yet, there were times when they had shared moments that made the reader believe that there was something there between them. Little gestures, like a brush of their fingertips or a locked gaze that seemed to stretch on endlessly, made it clear that there was something special brewing between them.
