What is immortality? Many may say that immortality is the gift of eternal life-the absence of death. Others may say that immortality is the memory that remains when a person dies. One particular undying entity would say that immortality was the absence of living and the abundance of death. After all, people live their lives with the subconscious knowledge and innate worry that every day could be their last as easily as it might not, but when you have been within the cold embrace of death and awoke again, what reason do you have to worry? When death will not take you, you can only watch as it takes those around you without discrimination, mourn the friends and grieve the lovers, lament for the family, and weep for those that you once knew-for the girl you once were.

Mortals live; Immortals just exist.
