A young woman has spent almost her entire life in a mental hospital. But while she is in the mental hospital she gets pregnant and has a baby boy. Soon after his birth, she begins to act "normal" and stable again, so she gets released to raise him. But by the boys 18th birthday, his mother is very ill. So he went to go visit her for maybe the last time. But before he left, her last words to him were, "I'm not as crazy as everyone says I am. Trace my steps. Come and find me." The next day, she died. He wasn't there for her death, and she wanted a closed casket funeral. But her words kept playing in her mind, "come and find me." So he dug up her grave. But inside was nothing but her mental hospital bracelet from years ago. So he does what she says and checks himself into the mental hospital, and begins to trace her steps. Is his mother alive? Is this some sort of sick game she's playing? Are there more clues in the hospital walls? Or did the pain of her death cause him to lose his mind...

Alex just left Nigel with only leaving a message on a note, telling him he probably comes back - only if possible. Obviously this is a hit in the face for Nigel. The first few months are terrible, and it only gets worse as he gets no word from Alex. No sign of him that could possibly give him some strength to go on. After more months, he loses his hope, killing everyone around as if that would make anything better. Nigel gets locked up in an asylum, declared for mentally unstable: charged for many, many murders. The doctors around are trying anything to get that boy out of Nigel his mind, and when they don't succeed, they decide to use electroshock therapy for that. As Nigel threats to lose Alex, the connection between the two fades a lot. Alex has barely enough strength to stay around, and gets forced to find a body before he disappears forever. Strangely enough a patient passes by during Nigel his therapy. A suspicious girl that always wants to know everything that's going around. Since she is the only weak person of them all in a near distance, Alex gets into her body - being forced to share it with another soul.
