It was September 6th, 1983. Moving back into Hawkins, Indiana was the small family of three, the Klingensmith's. Previous lives are reconnected there, while some are a bit different than they used to be. 

A couple of months later the youngest daughter's new friend, a local boy of the town Will Byers goes missing. The young girl sticks with her new friend group to try and help find the lost boy. 
The father went on the case with the local sheriff, while the eldest daughter caused trouble with an old friend of hers. Not even knowing that all of their events will eventually lead together.
